Locke also brings about a revolution in our understanding of desire and acquisition. Desire is connected to choice and satisfaction, but the desire itself is kept separate from what is desired. Acquisition is also liberated; the acquisition of goods no longer is limited by virtuous use; however, acquisition, like desire, is still connected to satisfaction or happiness.
